The UEFA Executive Committee wishes to congratulate Gianni Infantino on winning today's FIFA presidential election and is very much looking forward to working closely with him to promote, protect and develop football around the world.
Gianni Infantino has held several positions within UEFA and was a key force in implementing numerous initiatives across Europe and beyond, and we are firmly convinced that with his skills, knowledge and perseverance, he will restore the credibility of FIFA.
We wish him every success as FIFA President and express our sincere thanks for his outstanding work as UEFA General Secretary.
