Real Sociedad coach David Moyes has shared his experiences in football with coaches studying for their UEFA Pro licences on a course in Nyon.
The former Everton and Manchester United manager discussed his spells in both England and Spain as well as the importance that he places on coach education and how it has stood him in good stead during his managerial career. First in an interview with UEFA's chief technical officer Ioan Lupescu and then in a question and answer session with participants, Moyes also gave his views on preparing himself and his team for matches as well as analysis and the use of sports science.
Student exchange
This was the 19th staging of the student exchange event in Nyon since the concept started in 2011. The sessions include practical and theoretical elements of coaching, enabling knowledge-sharing between participants from different national associations and providing a hands-on experience to develop coaches' abilities.
This first session of the 2015/16 season was attended by students from Latvia, Montenegro, Portugal and Russia. The next will take place later in October.
