Edinson Cavani's 65th-minute goal decided the French Cup final as Paris Saint-Germain recorded a slender victory against second-tier AJ Auxerre.
The victory completed a domestic treble this season for Laurent Blanc's men, who also won Ligue 1 and the French League Cup. Cavani met Gregory van der Wiel's cross just before the midway point of the second half, powering a header in off the underside of the crossbar.
The capital club have now won the competition nine times, one fewer than Olympique de Marseille's record total of ten. "We wanted this cup and we're very proud to have done so," said Blanc, whose side also captured the French Super Cup back in August.
"Credit to Auxerre, who played to their strengths tonight. At the end of the day, it's only the scoreline that matters, but both teams have reason to be happy tonight."
