GNK Dinamo Zagreb completed a domestic double after getting the better of RNK Split in the Croatian Cup final, prevailing 4-2 on penalties after 120 goalless minutes.

It was Dinamo's 13th Croatian Cup final success since independence, and their first in three years, and came hot on the heels of their tenth successive title success. However, round off their seventh domestic double was no formality, with RNK Split putting in a noble effort. Dinamo captain Arijan Ademi received the trophy from the president of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.

"I'm delighted and proud to be in charge of these boys," said coach Zoran Mamić, whose return to the club ten years ago – first as a player, then as sporting director – heralded Dinamo's current spell of domestic dominance. "This was one of my sweetest victories. This crowns a perfect season for us. It was a very exciting final and at the end we simply had more luck."
