Club Atlético de Madrid scored at the start and end of the first half as they defeated local rivals Getafe CF 2-0, ending a run of three consecutive Liga draws for the Rojiblancos.

• Fernando Torres heads the champions in front with his first Liga goal since rejoining Atlético.

• Diego Simeone's side remain fourth, a point behind third-placed Valencia CF.
