The Captains of Change participants are encouraged to show their responsibility and leadership qualities like a team captain, with the goal of affecting real change within football organisations. As the programme is highly action oriented, participants are accepted on the basis of a draft diversity project which presents how he/she intends to encourage diversity within his/her organisation's culture. The final projects included in the programme are selected from UEFA's 54 member associations and partner bodies working with minorities in football.
