Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo has been named the best player in Serie A for the third consecutive year during Monday's Gran Gala del Calcio organised by the Association of Italian Footballers.
"It's always a pleasure to win this award, it means I manage to stay at the top year after year," said the 35-year-old Italy playmaker, one of seven of Juve's record-breaking side included in the 2014 XI. The Bianconeri lifted the Scudetto for the third season running last term with an unprecedented 102 points, also reaching the UEFA Europa League semi-finals.
