Record-breaking pair Zlatan Ibrahimović and Lotta Schelin once again took the main prizes in an emotional annual awards ceremony in Sweden.
Paris-Saint Germain striker Ibrahimović was named men's player of the year for the ninth time while Schelin collected her fifth gong. It has been a year when both have set new marks for national-team goals, with Ibrahimović passing Sven Rydell's high of 49 while Schelin moved on to 73 as she helped Sweden reach next year's FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.
The awards ceremony was marked by tributes to former Swedish international Klas Ingesson and IF Brommapojkarna captain Pontus Segerström, both recent casualties to cancer.
An emotional Ibrahimović paid tribute to both: "I'm still living my boyhood dream thanks to football. The award is overshadowed by what happened to Klas and Pontus, though. I myself had a brother who passed away some months ago from a similar illness. There is a life outside of football which is much more important. May they rest in peace."
