Chelsea FC's pursuit of Cesc Fàbregas is complete after the Spanish international midfielder signed a five-year contract with the west London club.
"I have unfinished business in the Premier League and now is the right time to return," said the 27-year-old, who moves from FC Barcelona for an undisclosed fee. "I considered all the other offers very carefully and I firmly believe that Chelsea is the best choice. They match my footballing ambitions with their hunger and desire to win trophies. They have an amazing squad of players and an incredible manager. I am fully committed to this team and I can't wait to start playing."
Fàbregas struck 28 goals in 96 Liga games for Barcelona after joining from Arsenal FC in 2011, winning the Copa del Rey and 2012/13 Liga among other trophies. Currently on FIFA World Cup duty with Spain, Fàbregas is aiming for his fourth straight major international crown. His previous stint in the Premier League entailed making 212 top-flight appearances for Arsenal.
