FK Crvena zvezda are celebrating their 26th championship win after defeating OFK Beograd 4-2 at home to wrap up the Serbian title with a game to spare.

Three points clear of closest rivals FK Partizan heading into the match, Crvena zvezda needed victory to be sure of ending the tension courtesy of their head-to-head record. While Partizan defeated FK Spartak Subotica 4-1, Crvena zvezda also hit four goals, Darko Lazović, Nejc Pečnik, Dragan Mrdja and Miloš Ninković finding the net to earn the club a 13th success in 14 outings.

The fixtures had originally been postponed due to flooding, which led to all sporting events in Serbia being postponed. Crvena zvezda were not to be denied, however, and claimed their first national crown since 2006/07 in front of more than 48,000 spectators.

"Everybody linked with Crvena zvezda, especially our supporters, deserve this championship celebration," said coach Slaviša Stojanović. "We had great confidence after our winter preparations, built a strong playing staff and improved the atmosphere. In the end, we won and we deserve this day of glory. From today, we will start thinking how we can be better in the future."
