UEFA expresses sympathy to Balkan flood victims

UEFA has expressed its sympathy to the thousands of people who have been displaced by the recent floods in Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Croatia.

"We are saddened to read the reports of the loss of lives in the countries which have endured this terrible natural disaster," said UEFA President Michel Platini. "Our thoughts are with the families of the deceased, as well as with those who have been affected by having to suddenly move from their homes and the hardship that this will bring."

As in previous cases across Europe, UEFA will closely cooperate with the member associations concerned by this natural disaster to organise the most appropriate response in the coming weeks.
