KS Skënderbeu have claimed a fourth successive Albanian Super League title with two matches to spare.
Mirela Josa's side wrapped up the championship – their fifth in all – with a 3-3 home draw against second-placed FK Kukësi. Skënderbeu had led 3-0 thanks to goals from Andi Ribaj and two from top scorer Pero Pejić. Kukës, who will contest the Albanian Cup final, fought back through Sokol Cikalleshi (2) and Vilfor Hysa, earning a draw.
The result nevertheless took Skënderbeu seven points clear at the top with two matches remaining. "We are the champions," said Josa, who lifted the title for the second successive year. "This one feels really good." His team will enter next season's UEFA Champions League in the second qualifying round.
