German Cup
Fresh from dispatching FC Bayern München on Saturday, Jürgen Klopp's men surged into a 12th-minute lead, Henrikh Mkhitaryan side-stepping his man and drilling a left-footed shot into the bottom corner. Robert Lewandowski settled the last-four encounter shortly before the interval with his 100th BVB goal in all competitions. After taking receipt of Marco Reus' cutback, the Poland striker produced an emphatic finish. Bayern face 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Wednesday to determine Dortmund's final opponents on 17 May.
French Cup
Rennes came from behind to edge second-tier Angers SCO 3-2 in the French Cup semi-finals. The Ligue 1 side responded to Mohamed Yattara's early opener with goals from Ola Toivonen, Kamil Grosicki and Jean Makoun. A late Yattara penalty then ensured a nervy finale, but Rennes kept their composure to progress to the Stade de France decider, where they will play either AS Monaco FC or EA Guingamp.
