Former Italy goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca picks five members of FC Bayern München's UEFA Champions League-winning side in his UEFA.com users' Team of the Year 2013.
Pagliuca was so nearly a European Champion Clubs' Cup winner himself in 1992, but UC Sampdoria suffered an extra-time defeat by FC Barcelona at Wembley. He did, however, lift the European Cup Winners' Cup with Sampdoria in 1990 and the UEFA Cup with FC Internazionale Milano in 1998, as well as finishing as a runner-up with the Azzurri at the 1994 FIFA World Cup.

Vote for your Team of the Year 2013
Manuel Neuer: Neuer is a complete goalkeeper who has two main qualities: physical strength and personality. He won everything with Bayern and he continues to perform at a high level.
Philipp Lahm: He continues to prove himself as the best full-back in Europe. He is also the captain of a team who won everything in 2013 and is a very charismatic player.
Thiago Silva: When he is in shape, there is no doubt that he is the strongest centre-back in Europe.
Branislav Ivanović: He is very strong in the defensive line, not just from a physical point of view. He is a complete player. Personally I admire him as both a centre-back and a full-back.
Giorgio Chiellini: Giorgio has great determination, stamina and physical power. He is a top-quality defender and has improved a lot under Antonio Conte at Juventus. He is also versatile and can be useful on the flank.
Arjen Robben: Along with Ribéry he is my favourite winger. He is very fast and has an impressive sprint combined with excellent technical skills.
Franck Ribéry: He made the difference at Bayern and on the wing he is unstoppable. He has great speed and a very powerful, accurate shot.
Bastian Schweinsteiger: He is a very strong midfielder who has proved his qualities for many years. I think he deserves to be in the best XI considering his performances for his club.
Paul Pogba: He is the revelation of this year. He is performing well with Juventus and is still very young. The future is on his side and he can still improve a lot.
Cristiano Ronaldo: He scores in every game and his ratio is really impressive. He has been crucial for Madrid in the UEFA Champions League and for Portugal in World Cup qualifying. He is out of the ordinary.
Zlatan Ibrahimović: He has great personality. This year he has delighted fans with his fantastic goals. There is no doubt that he deserved to qualify for the World Cup in Brazil.
