VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach's woes on the road continued as they suffered a third straight away loss at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Sunday, while TSV Eintracht Braunschweig earned their first point of the season.
After succumbing 6-2 at VfB Stuttgart in their previous Bundesliga outing, Hoffenheim responded well as Anthony Modeste put them ahead on the stroke of half-time. Germany Under-21 forward Kevin Volland doubled the advantage after 54 minutes, before Branimir Hrgota pulled one back for Mönchengladbach in the 75th minute.
Braunschweig had suffered four losses on the spin but got off the mark thanks to Omar Elabdellaoui's 70th-minute equaliser against 1. FC Nürnberg. The visitors had gone ahead in the first half as Adam Hloušek finished off a swift break by turning in Timothy Chandler's cross.
