In the run-up to UEFA Women's EURO 2013, UEFA.com presents a four-part history of the competition.
For the third part we examine the dominance of Germany, who have won seven of the tournament's last eight editions and next month go for their sixth success in a row over 18 years. We hear from Silvia Neid, involved in all seven of those victories as player, assistant and now head coach, plus three-time winning defender Steffi Jones and the top scorer in 2005 and 2009, Inka Grings.
