AC Ajaccio have announced that coach Albert Emon has left the French club due to "personal issues".
The 59-year-old former Olympique de Marseille trainer succeeded Alex Dupont during the winter break and was tasked with keeping the Corsican team in Ligue 1. Ajaccio finished the campaign in 17th position, one place and two points above the relegation zone, despite winning just one of their last ten matches.
In a statement on the Ajaccio website, president Alain Orsoni said: "After meeting with him, Albert Emon explained certain personal issues which have prevented him continuing as coach of Ajaccio. We accept his resignation and thank him. Ajaccio will name a new coach very soon."
