Real Sociedad de Fútbol revceived a blow in their bid for a UEFA Champions League finish after a late Granada CF goal denied them a home victory.
Youssef El Arabi's superb volley had cancelled out Imanol Agirretxe's headed opener for Real Sociedad, but Agirretxe chested Carlos Vela's cross into the net to restore the San Sebastian side's lead. He and Vela then struck the woodwork in the second half as they looked to tighten their side's grip on fourth place in the Liga, only for relegation-threatened Granada to rally, Recio's shot through a crowded penalty area making it 2-2 at the death.
The draw leaves Philippe Montanier's Real Sociedad level on 59 points with fifth-placed Valencia CF with three games to play. "We had those two shots against the post so we didn't have any luck in that respect," said Agirretxe. "Then we tried to keep the ball but we were the ones suffering towards the end."
