Prestatyn Town FC won the Welsh Cup for the first time with a 3-1 victory over Bangor City FC to earn a European debut next season.
The north Wales club will compete in the qualifying rounds of the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League just five years after attaining Welsh Premier League status for the first time.
Former Swansea City FC striker Jason Price scored twice at Wrexham AFC's Racecourse Ground to complete Prestatyn's remarkable journey. His first came as early as the second minute but Bangor hit back to force extra time through Chris Simm although they had been denied from an earlier penalty, one of many fine saves by man-of-the-match Jon Hill-Dunt.
With Bangor reduced to ten men following Michael Johnston's dismissal in the first half of extra time, their opponents took advantage with goals from Andy Parkinson and Price again. Prestatyn player-manager Neil Gibson said: "These players deserve all the credit in the world for what they've done."
