After a goalless first half SSC Napoli turned on the style to sink Pescara Calcio and trim Juventus's Serie A lead to eight points.
With just four fixtures remaining for the Partenopei the title may be out of reach, but the emphatic win at Pescara has left Napoli ten points clear in second place, ideally positioned to secure automatic UEFA Champions League football next term.
Denied repeatedly in the first period, it took less than a minute for the visitors to set that right after the break. Gökhan Inler's deflected drive opened the floodgates before Goran Pandev swivelled and planted a second in the bottom corner. Blerim Dzemaili's rocket from range flew into the top corner with nine minutes left to crown an impressive win.
Earlier, Roberto Pereyra gave Udinese Calcio their fourth win on the bounce, curling into the bottom-right corner just before the hour to sink Cagliari Calcio, who had Mauricio Pinilla sent off late on.
In the day's only other game, Alberto Gilardino snatched a point for Bologna FC with his 13th of the season after Luigi Giorgi had acrobatically volleyed Atalanta BC in front.
