Bini satisfied after France record Brazil draws

France coach Bruno Bini said he was "not worried" after his team once again failed to convert a number of opportunities in back-to-back draws with Brazil this week.

On Wednesday in Nancy, Les Bleues trailed twice as Giovânia scored for the visitors either side of the interval, but substitute Eugénie Le Sommer and Gaëtane Thiney, from the spot, conjured second-half goals for France in the 2-2 draw. The hosts pressurised their opponents towards the end but were unable to translate chances into goals.

On Saturday, the teams met again in Rouen and the South American side once again found themselves ahead, courtesy of Laura Georges' own goal in the 47th minute. France were the team on top but could not carve out an equaliser until the fifth minute of added time, when Louisa Necib converted a penalty – Le Sommer having missed from the spot earlier. The result means the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup and 2012 Olympic Games semi-finalists have drawn their last six games.

Bini is not worried by the fact his team have not been able to secure victories ahead of the this summer's UEFA Women's EURO 2013, where his side will meet England, Russia and Spain in Group C. "The trigger will come," he said. "We will keep working in front of goal. I would have been more annoyed if we had created no opportunities. It's encouraging to get so many chances against a team ranked fourth in the world. Our team did not crumble when we missed the penalty and that was encouraging."

Canada are next up for France on 4 April, as preparations for the summer continue.
