Cebanu re-elected in Moldova

"We have to continue what we began some time ago," said Pavel Cebanu after been re-elected for a fifth term as president of the Football Association of Moldova.

Pavel Cebanu has been re-elected as president of the Football Association of Moldova (FAM), and will serve a fifth term at the helm of the organisation.

Cebanu was re-elected at the association's congress in Chisinau. "Thank you for your support," he told delegates. "I hope this will continue in the future, as we have to work hard for the benefit of Moldovan football. We have to continue what we began some time ago."

The 57-year-old former FC Zimbru Chisinau midfielder was chosen as Moldova's most outstanding player of the past 50 years to mark UEFA's Jubilee in 2004.
