FC Internazionale Milano beat Pescara Calcio 2-0 to earn their first Serie A victory in four attempts.
The Nerazzurri were without a win in the league since a 2-1 triumph over SSC Napoli on 9 December but had little trouble ending that sequence against Pescara. Rodrigo Palacio set the ball rolling on the half-hour, finishing firmly into the bottom corner for his first goal since mid-November. Fredy Guarín wrapped up the points nine minutes into the second half when he rolled Palacio's cutback into an unguarded net. Inter are up to third, a point behind S.S. Lazio, and six behind leaders Juventus, having played a game more than both.
In the day's other fixture, Alberto Gilardino scored twice to take his league tally for the season into double figures as Bologna FC ran out 4-0 victors against AC Chievo Verona. Juventus travel to Parma FC on Sunday, when Lazio host Atalanta BC.
