LOSC Lille will go into their UEFA Champions League group stage opener without a win in four Ligue 1 matches after a 1-1 draw at ES Troyes Aube Champagne.
LOSC were on course for victory when Dimitri Payet (38) put the northern club ahead, delightfully controlling a defensive header, stepping inside the challenge of Mounir Obbadi and firing right-footed past Yohann Thuram-Ulien. Sébastien Grax, however, earned the promoted side just their second point of the campaign with an 88th-minute equaliser which leaves LOSC in mid-table.
Elsewhere, there were wins first wins of the season for Évian Thonon Gaillard FC (3-0 v SC Bastia), OGC Nice (4-2 v Stade Brestois 29) and FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, who prevailed 1-0 at ten-man AS Saint-Étienne. FC Girondins de Bordeaux, who begin their UEFA Europa League group stage campaign on Thursday against Club Brugge KV, drew 0-0 with Valenciennes FC.
