Olympique de Marseille continue to lead the way in Ligue 1 after extending their 100% record with a 3-1 home success against Stade Rennais FC, and things are finally looking up for Paris Saint-Germain FC as they triumphed 2-1 at LOSC Lille.
Having already posted three wins from three, Marseille set about clinching their fourth when Jérémy Morel (35) finished at the far post after Mathieu Valbuena had flicked on an André-Pierre Gignac cross. Gignac added the second himself – and his third this term – with an exquisite lob seven minutes from time, after Julien Feret (57) had equalised for Rennes. Romain Danzé's own goal late in added time then sealed the outcome for Elie Baup's charges.
Elsewhere on Sunday, summer signing Zlatan Ibrahimović helped PSG claim their first league victory this season. The former AC Milan forward found the net in the very first minute at Lille's new stadium and put his new side back in front 20 minutes later following Aurélien Chedjou's leveller for the hosts.
As for unbeaten FC Girondins de Bordeaux, they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by OGC Nice, Mahamane El Hadji Traore equalising for the visitors in added time after Henri Saivet's 86th-minute strike looked to have sealed the points for Bordeaux.
