Olinga makes history in Málaga win

Málaga CF secured a late victory at promoted RC Celta de Vigo thanks to a solitary goal from Fabrice Olinga, who, at 16 years and 98 days, became the youngest scorer in Liga history.

Aged 16 years and 98 days, Málaga CF forward Fabrice Olinga became the youngest scorer in Liga history as his late goal earned the UEFA Champions League play-off contenders a 1-0 victory at promoted RC Celta de Vigo.

The second-half substitute made an immediate impact, first hitting the woodwork with a stinging effort and then bundling the ball in off his thigh for an 84th-minute winner, thereby eclipsing Iker Muniain's 2009 record by 191 days. The hosts – back in the top flight after a five-year hiatus – came closest to restoring parity when Enrique De Lucas struck a post in added time.

Meanwhile, first-half goals from Spain forward Álvaro Negredo and Federico Fazio put Sevilla FC in charge against Getafe CF. Although Alexis (50) halved the deficit, it failed to prevent his side slipping to a 2-1 defeat. In the late fixture, Tomer Hemed scored twice, his second five minutes from time, as RCD Mallorca triumphed 2-1 over RCD Espanyol.
