The Football Federation of Montenegro (FSCG) organised three successful days of grassroots activities to celebrate UEFA Grassroots Day, with almost 700 children involved in different parts of Montenegro.

Marking the foundations of the game, the FSCG started their celebrations on 15 May with a series of matches arranged for schoolboys and girls aged between 10 and 12, before the international women's friendly between Montenegro and Albania in Bar. Approximately 200 youngsters were involved in the activities, all of which were among the 500 spectators for the international at the SRC Topolica Stadion.

On UEFA Grassroots Day itself, 16 May, teams of six to ten-year-olds from the Montenegro Children's League were involved in football activities alongside players from the women's national team. Around 150 youngsters took part in Bar, with the best teams from the league receiving trophies.

Elsewhere, in Podgorica the final matches of the season in the Montenegro Recreational League were staged. The play-offs for first and third took place before a closing ceremony involving all 18 teams in the league, including over 200 participants. Meanwhile, the decisive match of the Women's First League season, between FC Economist and FC Palma, was proceeded in Niksic by a series of seven-a-side matches for 120 schoolboys.
