Robert Prosinečki has guided FK Crvena zvezda to their third Serbian Cup triumph in six years after seeing off FK Borac Čačak 2-0 in the final.
The one-time European Champions Clubs' Cup winners encountered an auspicious start after Borac forward Marko Pavićević struck a post, before Jovan Radivojević fluffed his lines in front of goal. Crvena zvezda soon grabbed the initiative and were rewarded five minutes before the break when Evandro tapped in Darko Lazović's centre. Colombian forward Cristian Borja ensured his side's name was engraved on the cup with a cool finish after 84 minutes.
For coach Prosinečki, victory rekindled fond memories after winning the cup as a Crvena zvezda player in 1989/90. Meanwhile, defeat for Borac extended their wait for a first trophy and concluded a miserable season following their relegation from the Serbian top flight.
