F91 Dudelange completed a successful defence of their title by winning the Luxembourger First Division for the tenth time in 13 years on Sunday.
Despite losing their final league match 2-0 against Racing FC Union Lëtzebuerg, Philippe Didier's charges held on to their crown as second-placed AS Jeunesse Esch lost 3-0 at CS Pétange. The 28-times winners finished their campaign three points off the league summit.
Dudelange were awarded the trophy amid scenes of jubilation and relief at the Stade Achille Hammerel, as the 2011/12 champions pondered a return to next season’s UEFA Champions League qualifying campaign.
