A 4-0 win for Juventus kept them three points clear at the Serie A summit as AC Milan stayed within reach by triumphing 4-1 at AC Siena.
Despite lying 19th, Novara had already beaten FC Internazionale Milano, Udinese Calcio and S.S. Lazio at the Stadio Silvio Piola this season. It did not take long for Juventus to get off the mark, however, with Mirko Vučinić firing his side into a 16th-minute lead. Goals from Marco Borriello and Arturo Vidal either side of half-time put the match beyond doubt, before Vučinić completed his double on 64 minutes to round off the scoring.
Massimiliano Allegri's Milan kept the pressure on the leaders with an impressive away win of their own. Antonio Cassano scored on his first start since October to send Milan on their way, and their lead was doubled by Zlatan Ibrahimović three minutes later. Erjon Bogdani promised to give the visitors a nervy finish seven minutes from time, but Antonio Nocerino and Ibrahimović made sure of the points.
Elsewhere, Inter came from a goal down to beat AC Cesena 2-1 and move level on points with third-placed SSC Napoli and Lazio, who are sixth after losing 2-0 at Udinese. Bologna FC won 3-2 against Genoa CFC, ACF Fiorentina fell 2-0 at Atalanta BC, and Parma FC saw off US Lecce 2-1.
