Évian Thonon Gaillard FC's impressive run of home form continued as two goals in seven first-half minutes from Jérôme Leroy condemned Olympique de Marseille to their third successive Ligue 1 defeat.
OM, who lead FC Internazionale Milano 1-0 ahead of next Tuesday's UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg, fell behind in the rescheduled fixture when Leroy lobbed Steve Mandanda a quarter of an hour in. The former Marseille midfielder, 37, doubled the hosts' lead midway through the half after Mandanda had saved his initial header.
Évian's third consecutive top-flight win − and sixth in their last seven games at the Parc des Sports − leaves Pablo Correa's team in tenth. Marseille remain eighth, eight points behind third-placed LOSC Lille Métropole.
