FC Spartak Moskva have signed Russian international midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov from Everton FC on a long-term deal.

Bilyaletdinov has already joined up with his new team-mates at their training camp in Spain as they continue to contest the Copa del Sol friendly tournament, with the Russian Premier League currently on its winter break. "I'm happy the negotiations have finished and that I've become a Spartak player," said the 26-year-old, who made 59 top-flight appearances in two-and-a-half seasons on Merseyside.

"The medical took a lot of time and I'm feeling tired now, but my fitness is still good and I'm ready to play my part in the Copa del Sol. My only desire is to help my new team win game after game and give our fans something to cheer about as often as possible."

Capped 45 times by his country, Bilyaletdinov joined Everton from FC Lokomotiv Moskva in August 2009, having won the Russian title, Russian Cup and Russian Super Cup with the club. His new side lie fourth in the Russian Premier League, eight points adrift of leaders FC Zenit St Petersburg, and return to domestic action on 3 March when they host fifth-placed FC Rubin Kazan.
