The UEFA.com users' Team of the Year 2011 will be revealed on Wednesday 18 January after voting closed today.
A total of 55 players and five coaches were nominated to fill 11 positions on the pitch and one in the dugout. The nominees were selected by UEFA.com staff writers based on their daily coverage of football across the length and breadth of Europe. The players were chosen for their performances for a European club or national team in 2011.
UEFA will present a €100,000 cheque to the captain – selected by users – of the UEFA.com users' Team of the Year, which will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
