FC Barcelona will meet Real Madrid CF in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals after completing a 6-1 aggregate victory against CA Osasuna with a 2-1 win in foggy Pamplona.
Having won the Camp Nou leg 4-0, the second leg was set to be a formality, but Osasuna gave an unfamiliar-looking Barcelona side a tough ride in the first half, taking the lead when José Pinto failed to get a firm enough hand to Serbian forward Dejan Lekić's shot.
Any fear of an upset evaporated when Alexis Sánchez got his head to a wondrous Adriano cross four minutes after the break, and substitute Lionel Messi then cued up 19-year-old Sergi Roberto for a sweetly-struck second.
Earlier, Athletic Club set up a last-eight meeting with RCD Mallorca, following up a 0-0 draw in the first leg with a 4-0 victory at home against Albacete Balompié.
Meanwhile, SSC Napoli made it through to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia courtesy of a 2-1 triumph against AC Cesena, with Goran Pandev hitting the winner four minutes from time.
