UEFA Champions League matchday one is over and it did not disappoint. Among the 16 games there were great goals, gutsy comebacks, fantastic individual performances and one or two upsets.
But what did it all mean for our competition players? Find out here.

Defenders were top of the pile in week one, and Ondřej Čelůstka was the top scoring player with 14 points. The Trabzonspor AŞ man kept a clean sheet as well as scoring a surprise winner at San Siro against FC Internazionale Milano. Other high scorers included Chelsea FC's David Luiz, and FC Bayern München's Rafinha; both earning 13 points.
Alex Savchenko of Ukraine, ben bflava of England and João Rebelo de Sousa of Portugal all share the lead in the first table, with an impressive 79 points.
Predictor - presented by MasterCard
The first week of the predictor featured an outstanding performance from thierry33 of Poland, scoring 2,974 points to head the leaderboard. The remainder of the top five positions in the week one table were made up of players from Portugal, Italy, Croatia and Brazil.
Player Rater - presented by Heineken
Player Rater had a familiar face top the week one scoring, with UEFA.com experts awarding FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi an average rating of 9. However, it was a different name at the top of the fans' rater table after matchweek one; with Toni Kroos' fine performance for Bayern against Villarreal CF earning him an average rating of 8.

Some memorable images from matchday one grace the walls of the gallery; Ailton and APOEL FC's emotional reaction to scoring in their landmark victory against FC Zenit St Petersburg; Thiago Silva wheeling away in delight after his late leveller for AC Milan in the Camp Nou; or Luiz of Chelsea taking the acclaim after breaking the deadlock in a tight game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
