SSC Napoli enjoyed the perfect preparation for their UEFA Champions League opener at Manchester City FC on Wednesday, winning 3-1 at AC Cesena in their Serie A opener.
They scored their first goal of the new Italian season early, Ezequiel Lavezzi beating Nicola Ravaglia from a long Hugo Campagnaro throw three minutes into the match. Roberto Guana responded for the hosts midway through the first half, but defender Campagnaro turned in a Marek Hamšík cross with his right foot (67) before the Slovakian wrapped up the scoring following a defensive mix-up with two minutes to go.
