Olympique Lyonnais remain the only unbeaten side at the top end of Ligue 1 following a 2-1 victory at Dijon FCO, but champions LOSC Lille Métropole, Toulouse FC and Stade Rennais FC remain on their tail after decent victories on the road.
Bafétimbi Gomis scored the winner for Lyon after 53 minutes, with Benjamin Corgnet's strike for Dijon having cancelled out Maxime Gonalons' early opener, while Étienne Capoue struck at the death to give Toulouse a 1-0 win at SM Caen. Lille trailed to a seventh-minute David Rozenhal own goal at AS Saint-Étienne, but turned the game around after the break with two Eden Hazard strikes before substitute Ludovic Obraniak added insult to injury with a late third for Les Dogues.
In the evening game, substitute Jirès Kembo-Ekoko's smart finish 14 minutes from time was enough for Rennes to secure a 1-0 victory at struggling Olympique de Marseille.
Lille, Toulouse and Rennes trail Lyon by a point, and FC Sochaux-Montbéliard would have been in the same position had they not conceded a late goal at home against FC Lorient, with the game ending 1-1. FC Girondins de Bordeaux's game against Evian Thonon Gaillard ended goalless, while AC Ajaccio got their first win of the season, beating rock-bottom Valenciennes FC 3-1.
