Paris Saint-Germain FC have extended the contract of coach Antoine Kombouaré for 12 months until June 2013.
"With a desire for continuity and satisfied with the work already undertaken, the club has decided to take the option of another year in Antoine Kombouaré's contract," said a statement on the French Cup finalists' website.
Kombouaré replaced Paul Le Guen at PSG on a three-year deal in 2009 and won the French Cup less than 12 months later. With victory over his former team Valenciennes FC on Saturday, the New Caledonia-born coach lifted PSG level on points with third-placed Olympique Lyonnais with five Ligue 1 games remaining. On 14 May, PSG will defend the French Cup in the final against league leaders LOSC Lille Métropole.
