LOSC Lille Métropole forward Eden Hazard has been voted France's Player of the Season by his peers, outstripping team-mate Moussa Sow, Paris Saint-Germain FC's Nenê and FC Lorient's Kévin Gameiro.
The 20-year-old was named as France's best young player at the end of the previous two seasons, but took the step up in 2010/11 with seven goals in 37 league games as Lille claimed their first domestic double in 65 years at the weekend. "We all had a fantastic season," the Belgian international said. "This award is for a team at their best. I also want to congratulate Nenê, Gameiro and Moussa who were also great this season."
