LOSC Lille Métropole returned to the Ligue 1 summit on goal difference alone after being held to a 1-1 draw by Olympique Lyonnais.

Stade Rennais FC took over at the top on Saturday, but although a share of the spoils proved enough to haul Lille back into pole position, only two points now separate the top four in France. Fifth-placed Lyon are hardly out of the race either, and they made sure to stay within four points of the leaders thanks to Kim Källström's 26th-minute leveller, Moussa Sow's 17th league effort this term having earlier put Lille ahead with eight minutes gone.

Two spots higher than Lyon in third, champions Olympique de Marseille furthered their title defence with a 2-1 victory at AS Nancy-Lorraine. The UEFA Champions League contenders fell behind to Julien Feret's opener on 34 minutes but restored parity through André Ayew on the stroke of half-time, and the Ghana forward then secured the win three minutes from time.

A point below OM, Paris Saint-Germain FC defeated Toulouse FC by the same scoreline. Sylvain Armand (28) fired the capital club in front and an Adrian Gunino own goal (38) gave them a cushion before Franck Tabanou conjured a 62nd-minute consolation.
