Borussia Dortmund thought that they had restored their 12-point lead at the Bundesliga summit only to succumb to a 90th-minute equaliser by 1. FC Kaiserslautern's Jan Morávek.

Jürgen Klopp's charges were on course for win No17 when Sven Bender (81) broke the hosts' resistance, but Morávek's strike condemned the pacesetters to a second successive league draw, reducing their advantage to ten points.

Earlier, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and FC Bayern München bounced back from defeats last weekend with respective 3-0 and 4-0 successes against Eintracht Frankfurt and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Simon Rolfes (9) and Renato Augusto (32) each scored their fourth league goals of the season before Hanno Balitsch (84) ensured Leverkusen moved on to 42 points.

Bayern are three points further back, up from fifth to third, after Mario Gomez (2) − his 17th Bundesliga goal this term − Thomas Müller (15) and Arjen Robben (63, 81) struck in a comprehensive defeat of Hoffenheim.

SV Hamburger leapfrogged Hoffenheim into seventh after Mladen Petrić's penalty (33) sealed a 1-0 win at VfL Wolfsburg. Armin Veh's side now lie a point behind SC Freiburg, who lost by the same scoreline to FC Schalke 04.

Elsewhere, 1. FC Nürnberg overwhelmed VfB Stuttgart 4-1, while St Pauli were 3-1 victors against VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach.
