AS Roma set up yet another Coppa Italia encounter with FC Internazionale Milano after beating Juventus 2-0 in Thursday night's quarter-final in Turin.
Roma won through second-half goals from Mirko Vučinić and Rodrigo Taddei and now have the chance to avenge last year's 1-0 defeat in the final against Inter when the sides meet in a two-legged semi-final scheduled for 20 April and 11 May. Their final showdown last May was the fifth in six years between the clubs, with Roma winning two of the showpiece matches and losing three.
Inter had advanced to the last four on Wednesday night by beating SSC Napoli on penalties in their quarter-final. AC Milan and US Città di Palermo will contest the other semi-final after respective wins over UC Sampdoria and Parma FC, the latter after another shoot-out.
Montenegro striker Vučinić put Roma on their way to victory in Turin when he curled a fine right-foot shot past Marco Storari and into bottom corner in the 65th minute. After the visitors had withstood some late Juve pressure, Taddei sealed their progress in added time when he converted Daniele De Rossi's cross in acrobatic fashion for his first goal since May last year.
