Linfield FC have agreed a new rolling contract with manager David Jeffrey which will see the club stalwart remain with the Belfast side until at least 2012.
The 48-year-old has been coach of the Windsor Park side since January 1997, and said: "I am delighted that a new deal has been agreed. I have loved every moment of my 14 years at Linfield and I am as hungry as ever to bring more success to the club."
The one-time Manchester United FC trainee represented Linfield as a defender, and later club captain, from 1982-92, returning initially as assistant coach after ending his playing career with spells at Ards FC and Larne FC.
Since taking charge at Linfield, he has won seven league titles and five Irish Cups, including an unprecedented four consecutive Northern Irish doubles in the last five seasons.
