AC Milan missed out on the chance to stretch their Serie A lead to six points after being held to a 1-1 draw by UC Sampdoria, on a night when Juventus and ACF Fiorentina shared the same scoreline.
The Rossoneri were on course for their sixth successive win in all competitions when Robinho, a lively presence in the visitors' attack, gave Massimiliano Allegri's side the lead two minutes before half-time, following a neat one-two with Zlatan Ibrahimović.
The hosts hit back, however, through in-form Italy international Giampaolo Pazzini, who fired in his fourth goal in two games on 59 minutes. The draw takes Milan four points clear of S.S. Lazio, who host Catania Calcio on Sunday, while Sampdoria are in eighth place, ten points adrift of the summit.
In the late kick-off, Juventus avoided defeat at home against ACF Fiorentina thanks to Simone Pepe's equaliser eight minutes from time. The Bianconeri fell behind after just four minutes when Marco Motta put through his own net, but Juventus climbed to third place on goal difference when the former Udinese Calcio winger struck late on to secure Juve's third 1-1 draw in four league matches.
