UEFA, Croatian FA presidents reaffirm cooperation

UEFA president Michel Platini has today met with Vlatko Marković, president of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS), at the House of European Football in Nyon to discuss a variety of topics relating to football in Croatia.

Part of the meeting focused on match-fixing issues affecting Croatian football, and on further strengthening cooperation between UEFA and the HNS on such matters.

Following the discussions, Mr Platini and Mr Marković reiterated their zero-tolerance approach regarding corruption and match-fixing activities. They underlined in particular that the domestic case related to the 2009 Croatian Cup final would be dealt with by the disciplinary bodies of the HNS, with UEFA providing all necessary assistance and support.

The meeting was also an opportunity to highlight the fruitful and close cooperation that exists between the two footballing bodies, and for both to look forward to continuing this good relationship.
