Norman Darmanin Demajo has been elected as president of the Malta Football Association (MFA) at the association's annual general meeting at the weekend.
Mr Darmanin held the post of MFA treasurer from 1992 until 2001. The 58-year-old was one of the founder members of Luxol FC in 1968. As a footballer, he also played for lower-division club Qrendi FC before moving to Valletta FC, where he won the league title three times and the FA Trophy three times.
