Ivelin Popov has been voted the A League's player of the season by his fellow professionals after captaining PFC Litex Lovech to the Bulgarian title.
The 22-year-old winger, who was in superb form in the second half of the campaign, topped the poll ahead of last season's winner, PFC Lokomotiv Sofia striker Martin Kamburov, with Litex's Brazilian winger Doka Madureira third.
"I am delighted to win this award as it comes from my fellow professionals," Popov said. "I know I must work harder in the future to reach my full potential. I realise that in the past few years I was the talented Ivelin Popov and now I am the player Ivelin Popov. Now I am more responsible and mature."
Ilian Iliev was voted coach of the season after guiding PFC Beroe Stara Zagora to their first Bulgarian Cup victory, while PFC Lokomotiv Mezdra forward Ismail Isa took the young player award. Litex's 35-year-old midfielder Radostin Kishishev was given an award for his contribution to the game.
