The Scottish Football Association (SFA) is one of a select group signed up to the UEFA Grassroots Charter to have been awarded seven-star status but is not resting on its laurels having recently launched an online 'Developing talent programme'.

The resource became available on 7 May and is an extensive tool designed to help coaches embrace and improve players of all abilities. The site includes help with everything from getting youngsters interested in football for the first time to tips on instilling a winning mentality within your team.

"The idea of a coach being able at any time to access downloadable free content to help with their coaching is a fantastic concept," said Neil Mackintosh, the SFA's Head of Youth Development. "All the hard work putting it together will benefit football across all ages and abilities in the game."

SFA Director of Football Development Jim Fleeting is equally confident that the new source of information will prove hugely beneficial, saying: "The Scottish FA are keen to support all our coaches in their efforts to improve their players and we see the use of this web-based resource as an ideal way to be available at all times to offer advice and support.

"The content will grow and develop to create a fantastic resource for everybody in the game and will be a great complement to our formal Coach Education programme."

You can access the new resource via the SFA's website: http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/developingtalent/.
