Manchester United FC have announced the signing of Mexico striker Javier Hernández from CD Guadalajara for an undisclosed fee, subject to the 21-year-old receiving a work permit.
Nicknamed 'Chicharito', Hernández will officially become a United player in July. He has scored 26 goals in 62 league games for Chivas and has also registered four times in as many senior appearances for his national team. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said of the club's new acquisition: "He will be a great addition to our squad and we look forward to welcoming our first Mexican player in the summer."
