Fenerbahçe claim Istanbul spoils

Selçuk Şahin was the unlikely hero for Fenerbahçe SK as they won 1-0 at rivals Galatasaray AŞ in the Istanbul derby. The midfielder struck the winner, his first league goal since November 2008, with 20 minutes remaining of his sixth Süper Lig start of the campaign. The victory moves Fenerbahçe two points clear of Galatasaray into second spot, three adrift of leaders Bursaspor.
